Our motto for the Rittner Horn area is “Small but Exquisite“, directly in the heart of South Tyrol. As part of the Ortler Skiarena, the Rittner is famous for its family-friendly ambiance and the breath-taking view of the famous Dolomite Mountains.
Among insiders, winter at Ritten has the reputation for quiet and intimate holidays far distant from the bustling tourist centers.

Indulge in the panoramic view from your winter-wonderland hikes and lazy walks along prepared trails, or from the challenging downhill ski runs and cross country tracks.

These attractive venues makes the Rittner Horn area a preferred destination for winter holidays: Gondolas, fast lifts and groomed downhill ski runs await beginners and experts. The two high alpine cross country trails and the Naturbahn luge run are favorites for experts and beginners alike.

A fun-filled sledding party begins with hiking to the top of the Naturbahn luge run while enjoying great food in any of the quaint and cozy alpine restaurants along the way. Traditional Southtyrolian culinary specialties await and add to the pleasure.
The naturbahn luge run is great fun for young and old whether enjoyed on sunny days as well in moon-lit nights.

Cross country skiing enthusiasts indulge in the 30 km high-alpine track on the Rittner alp. Powder snow fans can carve their tracks into boundless steep hills.
While snowshoe hikers enjoy the deep snow and high alpine views that only back country skiers can usually experience.

Deep powder ski-touring connoiseurs will gladly by-pass the lifts and trace their own tracks in the soft und fresh snow. What else promises the experience of pure nature.

For the more recreation-enclined, the horse-drawn sleigh-rides in bright sunshine or -warmly wrapped - under the full moon when gliding across the meadows pulled by strong Haflinger horses have all the signature of heart-warming and romantic holidays.

Skaters can enjoy the ice rink in the Arena Ritten and on the open-air Wolfsgrubnersee (Lake Wolfsgruben) or race around the speed skating oval.
Icehockey games by Series A teams are offered at the arena as well. A special treat is the ride in the cablecar from Bozen, followed by one in the Rittnerbahnl (tram-way) to Klobenstein.
